1. Preparing for life with dog and baby
Are you pregnant or about to adopt and looking to help your dog feel at ease when the new baby comes home? This service will help to ease families into the transition from dog parents to baby parents with dogs in a fun and positive way.
During your sessions, we will cover:
1. How to understand your dog.
2. Learn about how dogs communicate through body language
3. Help with current behavioural concerns
4. Focus on preparing your dog for the changes
5. Supervision and management
6. Teaching your dog basic manners
7. Planning for Homecoming
We recommend 1 x 1.5 hour session each trimester of pregnancy. So 3 sessions ideal.
2. Dog and Baby
You’ve had the baby and now you realise it’s time to get help or you just want to be proactive! Well done! Our aim is to ease families into life with baby and dog without feeling stressed. Keeping everyone happy and safe.
During your sessions, we will cover:
1. How to understand your dog.
2. Learn about how dogs communicate through body language
3. Focus on dog and baby safety
4. Supervision and management
5. Teaching your dog basic manners
6. Introducing fun and proactive ways to include dog and baby together safely
We recommend 2 x 1.5 hour sessions to really get the most out of this service.
3. Baby on the move!
So many families focus on preparing the dog for bringing the baby home, but really the more challenging work begins when your baby starts moving. That’s when the real juggling act happens and management plans and supervision are critical for safety. But again, with help from Cooper and Kids, we can plan for this ahead of time.
Do us a favour and don’t wait for something to happen; your child and dogs safety is of utmost importance to us. So please come to us early and we can teach you all about how your dogs communicate, the body language to be aware of, how kids mirror our behaviour and how to safely manage the chaos into a calm and safe household. This is the ideal service for families with dogs and babies who are soon to be crawling or who have just started crawling.
During your session, we will cover:

1. Three Session Baby Preparation Package: $690
One Session Per Trimester where possible.

Included with your session, you will be provided with resources, handouts and a summary.
This will also include a follow-up 1-2 weeks after your session to make sure you are all on track with everything you have learnt.
